Wolverhampton v Aston Villa
Verdict: The struggling Wolves face a rampaging Aston Villa at the Molineaux Stadium. The Wolves are struggling for form with only one win in six while Villa are flying with a win over Chelsea and a respectable result against Manchester City. Wolverhampton's last home game led to a 1-0 loss to struggling Portsmouth which shows just how low they have fallen. Aston Villa currently sit in 6th spot on the ladder and if they are to make a serious challenge for a Top 4 position this season, these are the type of games they should be winning. I fancy the away side to do the job as the speed of Agbonlahor and Young will be too much for the Wolves defence to handle.
Pick: Aston Villa -0.25AH @1.97 (sbobet, 8 units)
Wolverhampton 1 - 1 Aston Villa
Burnley v Wigan Athletic
Verdict: Burnley's perfect home record of 4 wins straight will be put to the test today against an erratic Wigan Athletic.Wigan have sandwiched a 2-1 away loss to struggling Hull City with impressive performances against Chelsea and Manchester City. Wigan seem to have found some impressive form going forward with N'Zogbia and Rodallega showing good form. Burnley have not kept a cleansheet since their impressive beginning to the season with 1-0 wins respectively against Manchester United and Everton. With Wigan's open style of football and Burnley's intention to throw men forward in front of a rowdy Turf Moor, it's hard not to see many goals here.
Pick: Over 2.5 goals @2.06 (sbobet, 6 units)
Burnley 1 - 3 Wigan Athletic
Tottenham v Stoke City
Verdict: Tottenham are beginning to justify their tag as Top 4 contenders so far this season with goals and points flowing for the Londoners. Their performances at home have been especially dominant and Stoke must be fearing the worst as they have not managed to keep a cleansheet in 5 consecutive fixtures. Their away fixture list has been kind to them so far against teams like Everton, Bolton and Birmingham where they were able to stifle their opponents. They were not so lucky against Liverpool (losing 4-0) and if Tottenham can manage to play their normal up-tempo game at White Hart Lane, then the goals will flow. All four of Spurs home fixtures have finished above 2 goals and with the Londoners looking to hang onto the coat tails of the big boys, I expect more goals here.
Over 2.5 goals @1.74 (sbobet, 6 units)
Tottenham 0 - 1 Stoke City
