Chelsea v Aston Villa

Verdict: Aston Villa will aim to exact revenge on Chelsea from a fortnight ago where they were comprehensively beaten 7-1 at Stamford Bridge. Villa have since steadied the ship with a 1-0 win at Bolton while Chelsea continued their strangle hold on the league with a 2-1 win at Manchester United.

Chelsea still remain without several first choice defenders, meaning that Ferreira and Zhirkov are likely to man the wing-back positions. This may be problematic for the Londoners on the vast Wembley pitch with the like of Ashley Young and Agbonlahor tearing down the sidelines. Chelsea though have been in a rich vein of scoring form, finding the net on 15 occasions in their last 4 competitive fixtures so it may be a case of 'we will score more than you'. Aston Villa have expressed themselves in Cup competition (Carling Cup and FA Cup) this season, scoring 15 goals and conceding 8 in their five fixtures leading up to this FA Cup semi-final. I feel there are goals in this game as both teams are well rested, Chelsea's attacking players are on top of their game, while Villa will enjoy the wide reaches of the Wembley pitch.

Pick: Over 2.5 goals @1.85 (expekt, 10 units)
Chelsea 3 - 0 Aston Villa
