Blackpool v Bolton
Verdict: High time has arrived for Blackpool as they battle to avoid relegation against mid-table Bolton. Currently occupying 18th position and a visit to Manchester United on the horizon, Blackpool must pick up the three points here. Recent performances, including last week's 1-1 draw at Spurs, have been encouraging for the Tangerine so they can approach this game with an air of confidence. Bolton suffered their third consecutive league loss when a late Zat Knight own goal resulted in a 1-2 loss to a depleted Sunderland side. Bolton currently lie in 9th and have garnered just a single point from their last eleven outings.
Blackpool played arguably one of their better games for the season, at Tottenham, and no one could of denied them the 3pts if not for Defoe's late leveller. They looked organized in defence but still offered a threat going forward. In fact, the league's leakiest backline (conceded 71 goals) has let in just two goals in their last 3 league encounters. At the moment, Bolton look like a side that would rather be on their holidays. Last week's home defeat to a Sunderland side that was missing 9 regular starters is proof of that.
Pick: Blackpool -0.25ah @1.95 (ibcbet, 10 units)
Blackpool 4 - 3 Bolton
WBA v Everton
Verdict: West Brom will be looking to secure a top ten finish as they welcome 7th placed Everton. Currently sitting in 13th behind a cluster of clubs, the Baggies will aim to get back to winning ways after a dissapointing 3-1 loss at Wolves last week. There will be no European football for visiting Everton next season, despite a fine come from behind 2-1 win against Manchester City. The Toffees though still have a slight chance at overtaking a stuttering Tottenham in 6th spot.
Equally as entertaining as their promoted counterparts, Blackpool, games that have featured West Brom this season have resulted in lots of goals. At 120 goals (scored and conceded), there has been an average of 3.3 goals per game when the Baggies have been in action. The home side's recent encounters have had an open, carefree look about them so I expect this encounter to be no different. Everton themselves have not looked too assured in defence and could perhaps count themselves fortunate with recent results going their way.
